India Tour 2024

Traveled to India, Golden Triangle and the South of India between 25March 2024 to 13 April 2024. Disappointed with attitude of Consultant who was too busy to address queries or return calls, no discussion or input entertained wrt to itinerary, which was a shame, because challenges were encountered in India, if travel company was willing to listen to customers concerns challenges could have been averted. Suggestions were dismissed with consultant offering to refund monies paid. This was infuriating, because travel companies are not doing any favours, we pay for an overseas holiday, it is not free. It was emphasized that hotels were "budget hotels"..... Some hotels were trashy.So to class trashy hotels as budget hotels, is misleading. challenges included Hotel in Agra, having a nightmare bathroom, water flowed out of the shower, rounding the toilet pan and heading for the door Hotel in Bangalore, Shower and toilet in one , no curtain or door to shower, so if one showers, the toilet pan would be drenched. In Delhi, the tour bus had stopped under an Interchange and we had to lug our overnight luggage and walk for 10 minutes to get to our hotel that was in a very derelect section of Delhi. as a tourist, i would not mind paying a little extra, so all hotels booked are pleasant. Also many long roads trips by bus was also a factor that could have been embellished by including a train trip. Potential travelers , need to be mindful and if you cannot ask the questions, then change your Travel agent. Nava Naidoo Durban
