Worst Pet Insurance!!!
I had taken a pet insurance for my two fur babies on the 19th of June 2024 with your sales consultant Tashreeq, he advised me how easy and comfortable the process would be, he explain the casualty visits are R5600 per a year and R1400 per a visit not disclosing that this R1400 visit will only cover till R1400 and nothing more, that I would have to wait 14 days later to process a new claim meaning I can only take my pet for a follow up 14 days later. When I called your customer service department today Ashlen tells me that the consultant was not allowed to disclose this information as I was supposed to read the terms and conditions to find your "hidden clause". I want your business to make me as a customer understand what nonsense is this that you cannot disclose such important information to a client, so basically you guys are telling me if I can't afford another vet visit within the 14 days or if I cannot afford to pay the access over the R1400 I should either let my dog suffer till he or she passes on or make my own plan while still paying your business a monthly payment to basically not do anything for your clients and to lie to us!!! I will be cancelling my service with one plan and making sure everyone knows the pathetic service you provide!!!
Thank you for taking the time to bring this to our attention.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused and the circumstances under which your Hellopeter posting has reached as we do take customer feedback seriously to improve our service and process to ensure that we meet our client’s expectations.
We have attempted to contact you on the listed number; however, it was to no avail.
Kindly note that a vet consultation and prescribed medication will be covered under the Casualty benefit up to the respective cover limit of R1400 on the Classic plan and your fur-baby has 4 Casualty Benefit claims per year.
According to our policy schedule, it states that for Casualty claims, you may claim for a Casualty event up to the claim limit per event with a fourteen (14) day waiting period between the initial event and the next event, however, you may claim for follow-up visits for the same event until the event limit has been reached within a period of 14 days ‐ for example, if your limit is R500 and your previous claim was only for R250, you can still claim another R250 for the follow-up vet visit for the same issue. You may not claim for the same event under a new cover within the fourteen (14) day waiting period.
There are annual cover limits on all our cover types. Once the annual cover limit has been exceeded, the cover limit benefit will renew on the anniversary of your policy.
Kindly note that insurance or indemnity insurance covers up to a respective cover limit. We inform all our clients that this product is not a Medical Aid product but a Pet Insurance product. Our products are marketed and disclosed that we cover up to certain cover limits as the cover is not unlimited. This information is also stated in the policy wording that was sent to your listed email address.
Certain terms and conditions are always applicable, and these are included in all policy documents before and during your experience with us. The terms and conditions of the policy must be adhered to and app**** fairly to all clients. We do have your fur-babies best interests at heart, and we will assist with all we can in line with our terms and conditions. Please note we are governed by the FAIS Act and must apply the TCF (Treat Customers Fairly) policy to ensure all our clients receive fair service and cover.
We encourage all our clients and potential clients to ensure that they; do understand all products available in the market; and perhaps approach their Financial Advisor for a factual comparison of products.
Once again, we apologize for any inconvenience caused and hope the above brings clarity to the matter.
Kind Regards,
Oneplan
