Worst Medical Insurer

I've logged a claim in March for my dog that needed medical treatment and till date have not gotten paid. I've made multiple calls and sent multiple emails. Yet they keep saying get paid in a minute and get cash loaded. I was told to send a send info, which is unavailable, the broker then said I could send another report which I did. And none of this was discussed when the broker was trying to get a sale done, he Now when I follow up on the payment, I'm being asked about the info I don't have again after everything was discussed. This is the absolute worst medical aid company I ever came across. I had to euthanize 1 of my dogs and enquired about the costing being covered prior to, It's been over a month and I still haven't gotten a response. Absolutely worst company ever. They do not assist in anyway, it's as if nobody works there. I think the best way to expose such companies is to go via social media and newspapers at this point, as there are many in the same position as me with the same company.

Good day Surecca,

Thank you for taking the time to bring this to our attention.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused and the circumstances under which your Hellopeter posting has reached us. Our condolences to you and your family on the passing away of your fur-baby. Please accept our deepest sympathies for all that you have experienced.

Kindly note that for day-to-day claims, funds can be loaded via the Oneplan app. You can log onto your app and select the benefit you would like to claim for, and the funds will be available within 60 seconds on you Onecard. Once the funds have been utilized, we will require a detailed invoice to ensure that the funds were utilized correctly. The claiming process for day-to-day claims differentiates from the claiming process for in-hospital claims.

For claims related to in-hospital events we will require the vet to complete a claims form in order for the claim to be assessed. Records on our system reflect that upon receiving the completed claims form our claims department requested on several occasions for the full medical history from the treating Vet to further assess the claim. Kindly note that we are still awaiting feedback from the Vet as the claim can only be finalized once we receive the required information.

Certain terms and conditions are always applicable, and these are included in all policy documents before and during your experience with us. The terms and conditions of the policy must be adhered to and app**** fairly for all clients. Please note that we do have your fur-babies best interests at heart, and we will assist with all we can in line with our terms and conditions.

We have acknowledged your complaint and we have escalated the matter to the relevant department. One of our consultants will be in contact with you to further discuss the matter at hand.

Once again, we apologize for the inconvenience caused and we hope to restore the experience.

Kind Regards,
Oneplan
