Very terrible service

Firstly I pay a lot on the medical aid, I was told that it will cover anything I go for and I have been paying it for the past 6 months now. This One Plan medical aid does nothing for me after calling them yesterday like 5 times to get authorization to be booked in at Hospital.

I called One Plan in the morning because the doctor referred me to see a Neurologist at the Springs Hospital (N17), I was told by one consultant that in an hours time they will call me back to give me the Authorization number, four hours went by and I had to call them again, with a different consultant telling me a different story. I called One Plan like 5 times and each person telling me a different story.

I arrived at Springs Hospital(N17) and I was told that I need to pay in R30000.00 first and then they will see if the medical aid covers for the medical bills. I think it is ridiculous for me to pay up front and I pay for medical aid that promised me that I am covered to see any specialist at any time.

I just feel if my situation was much worse then will I ever get the opportunity to go to a private hospital without anyone telling me I need to pay a large amount of money in or that One Plan is *********** and no one can tell you one story, each person giving you a different story.

I would like the One Plan medical aid/policy that doesn't cover anything to be cancelled as soon as possible and that I'm not happy with what I was promised and that everyone is ***********.

Hi Dustin

Thank you for affording us the time to contact you and provide you with feedback regarding the in-hospital process.

I have furnished you with the updated Oneplan policy documents, that will outline exactly what your plan entails.

It is always important that our clients have a copy of these documents and fami****ise themselves with the information.

Furthermore, Oneplan unfortunately, does not cover for diagnostic/investigative procedures. However, we do cover for confirmed diagnosis based on the policy terms and conditions.

Oneplan thanks you for your feedback and should you require further information or assistance, please feel free to contact us on ********** or email Kind Regards
