The administrator Celine Kriel were good with her explanation. As a member I can't seem to think why would oneplan think that people have excess money and reclaim from them afterwards and on top of that they R160 for delivery for the card and you have to wait 30days before you can get it.

Hi Shafiek,

Thank you for your honest feedback. We're truly sorry to hear about your frustration, and we appreciate you taking the time to share your concerns. We're also glad that Celine was able to provide a clear explanation—she’ll be grateful for your recognition.

We completely understand how the claims process and the card fee might be frustrating, especially when expectations aren't fully met. Please know that our intention is never to place unnecessary financial strain on our members. Your concerns are valid and have been noted.

At the time of your policy application, there was an option to either order a Onecard for pre-funded claims or to opt for refund claims paid directly into your bank account. According to your selection, no card was ordered. Should you decide to order one, the once-off card fee of R160.00 is added to your first premium, and delivery typically takes 3–4 weeks.

It’s also important to note that this delivery period runs parallel to the standard 30-day waiting period for day-to-day benefits such as GP visits, medication, radiology, and pathology. By the time your card arrives, your benefits would then be accessible for use.

We sincerely hope this clears up any confusion and gives you a better understanding of our process. We remain committed to making healthcare cover as simple and supportive as possible.

Kind regards,
Oneplan.
