Terribly Disappointed

Don't just jump in with this company. It appears to be a good choice on the surface as they reel you in but once you're inside you'll realize it's more self-serving than anything. I joined them late last year and was with them for less than 4 months. This year January they sent emails about premium increases which they apply to all clients. Regardless of whether you've experienced their product for a full year or not and that left a bad taste in my mouth. None of the consultants helped with the dispute I made. All they did was copy and paste their apology responses to me from their training manuals then basically told me that's how it works there. They didn't care.

Good day Karabo,

Thank you for taking the time to bring this to our attention, we have attempted to contact you on the listed number; however, it was to no avail.

We do sincerely apologize for any inconvenience which has been caused.

Kindly note that the increase in the premium for 2021, was scheduled to take effect on 1 July 2021, due to the financial uncer*****y created by the COVID pandemic there was no increase effected in March, which usually is the case for annual increases.

The Oneplan brand inspires confidence in its ability to provide value for money. Regrettably we are from time to time pressed to increase our premiums to keep up with inflation and medical costs, which in turn enables us to be there for you when you need us the most. Please note that when an increase is declared, it includes several considerations. Whilst we understand that any increase is never well received, we firmly believe in being open and transparent with you, therefore we shared the basis for our adjustments to your premium in January 2022 in the hope that this provides an understanding of our decision for the increase as of 1st March 2022. Although there has been a slight increase in your premium kindly note that the benefits and cover limits have also increased.

Records on our system reflect that your premiums has not been up to date, the last premium received was for the month of January 2022. As per our policy terms and conditions if your premium is unpaid, the cover applicable to the policy will lapse, subject to the grace period offered by us. Grace Period means the period of grace allowed for non‐payment of Premium. The Grace Period is fifteen (15) days from the first day of the month in which the Premium was due. Should the premiums be returned or rejected for any reason, the policy will be immediately suspended for the Grace Period of fifteen (15) days. Payment of your outstanding premium must be received before the fifteenth (15th) day of the month in which it is due. Should your premium not be successfully received for two (2) consecutive months, your policy will automatically cancel.

Certain terms and conditions are always applicable, and these are included in all policy documents before and during your experience with us. We will assist with all we can in line with our terms and conditions.

We once again apologize for any inconvenience caused.

Kind Regards,
Oneplan

The audacity to come and place false information online, do you want me to paste my timeline statements and the email you sent to me (about another year being together - which is another indication of copy and paste to all clients because I haven't been your client for a year) on this platform about premiums increase effective from 1st March 2022??

Like I said, it left a bad taste in my mouth and after trying to speak to you guys over and over, nothing was resolved so I stopped paying after that email you guys sent and proceeded to ask to cancel! That is why there is no activity since January from my end. Before then I've paid to you guys on time with no hassles. Why should I continue paying when no one on that side cares anyway but you clearly only care about receiving payments?
I've communicated cancelation on both the app and via email in communication with the sales consultant who got me in.

This clearly demonstrates how little you pay attention to your clients' accounts.

Your efforts of trying to assist now are unfortunately too late, you had about a month since you sent that email and received complaints to try what you're doing now, 3 months ago. You didn't care then and said that's how things work, you increase premiums whether clients have experienced your product for a year or 4months, the period doesn't matter to you guys. Keep in mind, there are some 90day waiting periods for some benefits, which means I basically got a price hike after a month of being able to fully use your card and start experiencing any benefits that I've been paying for. So now why act like you care when I'm letting people know what's happening inside??

You say you pride yourselves in fairness, I'm telling you what took place and you proceed to respond by saying if I feel I've been treated unfairly then I should contact your independent department. Does the sequence of events relayed on this platform now seem fair to you? What is this ***********?? Where was that compliance department when I was repeatedly disputing this situation?? You didn't care to assist then, I doubt this time will come to any fruition. People must be warned and know how things work there before they jump in.
