Terrible call center line connection, charged for nothing & still confused.

This is the experience I've had with Oneplan so far.

* In May I phoned to take out cover which I intended to start on 1June 2016 for myself and one dependant. At this point the line was very unclear and the phone call took no less than an hour.

* Later in May I phoned to move the coverage start date to 1 July 2016 and to remove the dependant. The call centre agent assured me that this would be done. It was not done & a debit order was taken from my account for the full amount on 1 June 2016. The line was also unclear and breaking up.

* In June I phoned again to cancel the policy which I could no longer afford (and in my opinion should not even have started yet). I was told I need to send an email to ********** which I did. After that I received numerous phone calls from Oneplan which I could not answer as they were made to me during office hours, but no email communication which I had indicated was my preferred method of communication.

* On 1 July another debit order for the full amount (2 dependants) was deducted and bounced as I was expecting the policy to have been cancelled.

* I phoned again on Friday 29 July 2016 after a debit order was deducted on the 25th (which is completely unauthorised as the arrangement would have been for the 1st of each month) and the call centre agent told me nothing was owed except for my cancellation fee and that the policy was only to be activated on the 1st of August. The line was cut at this point after which I decided that email is a better medium of communication as the voice clarity has been an issue every time I spoke with a Oneplan consultant,

* I sent an email on 2 August 2016 and received an auto reply that they would contact me ASAP. To date I have had no communication except for an SMS that says my policy has now been activated? After two failed debit orders? Also an SMS that says my policy has been suspended.

I am extremely frustrated at this point as it is impossible to hear what a call center agent says over the phone, or the line gets cut and no email communication seems to be possible from Oneplan.

If this is the experience I had after in my opinion the policy should not have even been activated, I doubt that I would trust Oneplan to handle any medical claims.

Reviewer Update

I would like to thank you for contacting me so quickly after I posted my review. Special compliments to Thaneshni for her friendliness and efficiency. I have been assured that my policy is now cancelled and there is no money owed by me.

I would still recommend that something is done to improve the quality of your phone line but other than that I am very satisfied with the outcome.
