Subject: Complaint Regarding Unjustified Denial of Pet Insurance Claim

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the recent handling of my pet insurance claim. I was informed that my claim for my dog’s medical expenses would not be paid because she does not have all her vaccinations. This raises serious concerns about the value of the pet insurance I have diligently paid for and the transparency of your service.

While I understand that vaccinations are important for preventing diseases like Parvovirus, it is well known that even vaccinated dogs can still contract the virus. Vaccines provide immunity, but they are not 100% effective, and in high-risk areas—such as our town where Parvovirus is currently prevalent—even vaccinated dogs can become infected. This is a documented fact in veterinary medicine. The effectiveness of a vaccine depends on the individual’s immune response, and there are many factors that can influence whether a vaccinated dog develops the disease.

If vaccination is such a critical requirement for coverage, why was this not clearly communicated from the outset? At no point were we informed by your team that our dog needed to have all vaccinations up to date in order to maintain coverage. Furthermore, we were not notified that any specific vaccinations were overdue. If this is such a crucial part of your policy, it is your responsibility to inform your clients about it clearly and timely.

This lack of communication is unacceptable. I now have concerns about what other exclusions or conditions may unexpectedly arise in the future if my dog requires hospitalization or further treatment. What good is insurance if it’s constantly voided on technicalities that were never clearly explained?

I urge you to reconsider your decision and provide clarity on what exactly is covered under my policy, without hiding behind unclear terms and conditions. I hope that going forward, you will improve your communication and customer service, ensuring that pet owners like myself are not left out in the cold when we need you most.
