Please, do not sign up with Oneplan
Now the 2nd October 2019, I have been waiting since 10th January 2019 for Oneplan to review and approve an optician claim. Their reasoning for declining the claim was that the prescription was not stated on the invoice submitted, which it clearly was. A prescription was submitted again recently, for which I am still waiting for approval. In the meantime, I cannot load funds for either a medical practitioner or dentist. And yet Oneplan continue to debit the full amount off my account every month. This is absurd. I had to fight with them to get them to pay for a blood test, which is listed as covered. Please, do yourself a favour, look for medical insurance somewhere else. Oneplan do not honour their commitments. Moreover, the coverage is wholly inadequate.

You have tried contacting me "... to no avail..." despite having my email address and phone number? That's very interesting. Below is the email you speak of, with no absolutely no mention at all of the claim being approved. I have just searched my SMS's. The only messages that include the term 'Oneplan' are debit orders from ABSA.
So wow, if it took between 10th January and 18th September to approve a simple optician's claim, imagine how bad a hospital trip could get. Only 10 months - well done guys! Big pat on the back!

On the 22 of January 2019, we had contacted the optometrist regarding sending the eye readings to us to finalize the claim. However, the eye readings were only provided on the 16/09/2019 hence the claim only being approved on the 18/09/2019.(Turn around time 48 hours.)
The email sent above was to notify you that the eye readings were received and sent for assessment and feedback would be provided via SMS on the outcome of the assessment. The SMS was sent on the 18 of September 2019 to the number on our system.
Please do refer to your email.
