Pet removal disasters

You get good service till you need to remove a pet from the plan. Requested this on the 15th of April, just to hear I need to make 2 more payments for a pet I do not have. Speaking to 4 different consultants and still not resolved I decided to cancel and take my remaining pet over to another insurance company. Thd pet has been taken away due to litter syndrome, however passed away during the weekend due to a hit and run. What was the response. Please send a cancellation email to this email adress.... i am disgusted and disapointed in how you handle these things and wont recommend to anymore anymore

Good day Janene,

Thank you for taking our call earlier and allowing us the opportunity to further discuss the matter at hand.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused and the circumstances under which your Hellopeter posting has reached us. Our condolences to you and your family on the passing away of your fur-baby. Please accept our deepest sympathies for all that you have experienced.

As per our telephonic discussion, kindly note that adding or removing of a fur-baby on your pet policy is subject to one (1) calendar months’ notice. Upon receiving the request for your fur-baby to be removed from the policy we could only process the removal for 01 June 2022 due to the one (1) calendar months’ notice period that is required, however as per our policy terms and conditions in the sad event of the death of your fur-baby, we will waive the notice period.

Certain terms and conditions are always applicable, and these are included in all policy documents before and during your experience with us. We will assist with all we can in line with our terms and conditions. Oneplan subscribes to its TCF principles and will take all reasonable steps to ensure fair and equal treatment of all our clients.
We have since proceeded to request for the removal of your fur-baby to be backdated, and we will revert to you with the relevant feedback.

Once again, we apologize for the inconvenience caused and hope to have restored the experience.

Kind Regards,
Oneplan
