Oneplan underwritten by Bryte Insurance
What a bunch of DISHONEST ******! I would advise you NOT to do business with these INTEGRITY-less low life ****!
Timeline of Events: 16.11.2021 Request a quote. Get phone call from telesales. Decide on Professional Plan @ R1065 pm. Questions asked? Can I upgrade? Exclusions on existing medical conditions? 20.11.2021 A call from telesales. Please approve Veri-Safe Debit Order consent for 1 December 2021. When I receive this though, the amount is not for R1065 as per agreement, but for R2388.75 - also, NO UPGRADE allowed in 12 months, and exclusions on existing conditions now 12 months, instead of 30 days as per telesales. I thus decline CONSENT by pressing 9 (instead of 1). I receive MULTIPLE phone calls - and the more I explain, the more CONSENT sms APPROVAL requests I get.
23.11.2021 Back at the office. I send a mail cancelling EVERYTHING. Not only does this mail get ignored; also receive at least another 20 request for Debit Order approval.
23.11.2021 Late afternoon I get a sms showing APPROVAL and consent for debit order.
24.11.2021 A visit to the bank proves that submission from Bryte Insurance (One Plan) was successfully submitted for 1 December 2021 @ mentioned pricetag.
I will proceed taking action against you, and your staff. #onbudsman
I will also reflect this on social media.
Thank you for taking the time to bring this to our attention.
We sincerely apologize for the circumstances under which your Hellopeter posting has reached us, and we apologize for any inconvenience caused. We do take customer feedback seriously to improve our service and process to ensure that we meet our client’s expectations.
Kindly note records on our system reflect that on the 16/11/2021 one of our sales consultants contacted you to provide you additional information as per the request for a quote, the sales consultant mentioned that there will be a late joiner fee that may be added to your premium due to a break in medical cover. The quote amount is an estimated premium and the final premium is confirmed once the underwriting is done on your policy as a late joiner fee may be applicable. Please take note that a copy of your policy schedule for the Professional Plan was sent to your listed email address on the 16/11/2021 with the premium confirmation of R1592,50 which includes the late joiner fee as your application for cover was completed online via our website.
The 30 days waiting period that was confirmed was for GP visits, medication, blood tests and X-rays as mentioned by the consultant was with regards to our day-to-day benefits. Any in-hospital claims related to a pre‐existing condition will have a standard 12 month waiting period as per our policy terms and conditions that was sent to your listed email address on the 16/11/2021.
Upon investigation we discovered that our Debi Check consultants attempted to contact you 7 times as per our call recordings on our system. Kindly note that the minimum amount of R1592.50 that reflects on the Debi check SMS is your monthly premium and the amount that is to be deducted. The maximum amount is the amount of R2388,75 that reflects on the SMS which is 50% added to your premium, please note that this does not mean that the amount of R2388,75 will be deducted from your account. This amount simply allows for any minor changes that you may request related to adding/removing of the excess buster and or a dependent, or any upgrades to your policy as these changes may affect your premium. We do understand it can be frustrating for clients to continuously accept Debi check mandates for every minor change that would affect the premium therefore the maximum amount was implemented.
Certain terms and conditions are always applicable, and these are included in all policy documents before and during your experience with us. We will assist with all we can in line with our terms and conditions.
We have acknowledged your complaint and we have escalated the matter to the relevant department. One of our consultants will be in contact with you to further discuss the matter at hand.
Once again, we apologize for the inconvenience caused and we hope to resolve the matter as soon as possible.
Kind Regards,
Oneplan
