ONEPLAN INSURANCE TO EMPTY YOUR BANK ACCOUNT
I requested a call back for a quotation and the response time was surprisingly fast and rather intimidating if I can call it that. The lady who called me and explained the policy sounded fairly intelligent almost as if being couched from the side, none the less, everything sounded almost too good to be true. After having settled on a plan, I received a debi-check mandate sms with amounts varying between R544.26 & R816.39. Luckily I was too late to accept this debi-check mandate as it came through whilst still busy on the call. I then received yet another debi-check mandate sms the second our call ended but this time with the values being way higher, R638.84 & R958.26 This raised RED FLAGS in the first instance. Why these different debi-check mandate amounts?? (Both from ONEPLAN) *** and the 2nd one with ***. (Why different ref numbers??) This lady also said and confirmed that I will receive everything discussed via telecom conversation in an email as soon as the call had ended, well unfortunately I'm still awaiting that email with the written confirmation of everything that was said. I will therefore NOT AGREE to anything unless I see it in writing first, this is South Africa, where you will have your bank account emptied in less that a minute if not going through everything in detail with a hawk's eye. Why did this lady ask me if my sell number was linked with my back account?? for the debi-mandate?? Please....if this is legit, please send me everything in detail via email, allow me to read through the entire policy detail on my own time where I can then make a clear decision instead of being pushed into doing so over or during an uncomfortable telecom conversation.
Thank you
Kindly note that the Debi check mandate has a minimum amount which reflects on the Debi check SMS which is the monthly premium and the amount that is to be deducted. The maximum amount is the amount that reflects on the SMS is 50% added to your premium, please note that this does not mean that the maximum amount will be deducted from your account. This amount simply allows for any minor changes that you may request related to adding/removing of the excess buster and or a dependent, or any upgrades to your policy as these changes may affect your premium. We do understand it can be frustrating for clients to continuously accept Debi check mandates for every minor change that would affect the premium therefore the maximum amount was implemented. Should there be any changes to your premium it will either be at a direct result of material changes that you may request, and/or should there be any changes from our side we will notify you 30 days in advance.
Kind Regards,
Oneplan

Please note that I fully understand how a Debi-Check Mandate works in terms of minimum and maximum amount variations with amendments etc. However, this is not the kind of issue raised.
There were two separate Debi-Check mandates sent to me for approval/acceptance with two completely different reference numbers.
Then to top it up, you managed to upload a debit order for an incorrect amount onto my bank account. Wow!!
So in the sense of taking into consideration what you mentioned to me during the telecom conversation yesterday evening and in the fact that you confirmed either you or your consultant have blatantly **** to me.
1. PLEASE CANCEL ANY POLICY WHICH IS OR WAS CREATED IN MY NAME.
2. REMOVE THE DEBIT ORDER INSTRUCTION LOADED ONTO MY BANK ACCOUNT.
3. PLEASE DO EMAIL ME CONFIRMATION THEREOF.
4. DO NOT SEND ME AN EMAIL FROM A "DO NOT REPLY" EMAIL AS I WOULD LIKE TO RESPOND TO EMAILS SENT TO ME.
