Oneplan dishonesty

Oneplan will advise you that you are covered when your pet needs a vet, and then once you claim they will make every excuse to not honour the claim. They are dishonest. Go somewhere else

Dear Andre,

Thank you for your correspondence.

We regret that your experience did not meet the standards expected of Oneplan and acknowledge your concerns regarding communication and follow-up. These matters are taken seriously, and we do not underestimate the importance of clear, timely feedback to our members.

Following a comprehensive review of your policy and claims history, we confirm the following:
  • The claim dated 09/01/2026 has been successfully captured and submitted to our Claims Department for assessment. Formal feedback on the outcome will be communicated to you via email once the assessment has been completed.
  • The additional claims dated 07/01/2026 and 08/01/2026 could not be processed, as your fur baby was still within the applicable 30-day waiting period for this benefit. Your policy inception date is 09/12/2025.
  • The admission claim dated 31/12/2025 also falls within the 60-day waiting period applicable to that benefit and therefore cannot be processed. Feedback regarding this claim will be issued via email.

All policy benefits are subject to specific terms, conditions, and waiting periods, which are clearly outlined in the policy schedule and supporting documentation provided at inception and throughout the policy term. Oneplan applies these provisions consistently in line with Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles to ensure equal and fair treatment of all members.

We strongly encourage policyholders to review their policy schedule carefully to ensure a clear understanding of their selected benefits, limitations, and waiting periods.

We trust the above clarifies the matter.

Kind regards,
Oneplan.

YOUR agent told me I will be covered, when I phoned on the 31st, as my dog had suffered an accidental injury. No waiting period on accidental, as per your own policy documents, and as per the information given to me when I called prior to taking my dog to the vet. Now, coincidentally I am informed that they can't find the recording. Very convenient right. Total dishonesty.
