One Plan Pet Insurance not what I thought they are ????

My fur-baby had a accident. My vet bill of R7000 declined. My fur-baby's cruciate ligament was off and had to get a operation. My claim is declined due to 75% off this due to age ect. Zoë is 8 years old and in top condition...definately counts for the rest of 25 %. Further, ... Zoë accute ruptered right anterior cruciate ligament ? One should think they would decline a cronic case !! I am not happy at all. Suddenly the good service I rated yesterday turned into a big dissapointment. The same Mapaseka who begged me to rate her on Hello Peter and who told me Im her favorite client ignores my messages on live chat. I requested a copy of my policy yesterday...still waiting for it. From 01/07/2017 I have never been able to send them mails, it always returns ! The app you have to download gives the clients more problems than satisfaction ?!! System kicks you off 20 times in a half an hour. I am planning to cancel my policy with One Plan and move to Petsure whom I believe is the best. But im not done with One Plan...my lawyer is looking at the matter. I will not recommend any one to join One Plan !!!!

Dear One Plan Team, thank you for your response. However, after waiting since yesterday for my policy documents I phoned your call centre who sented me the policy documents. Just as you rep**** on Hello Peter, Mapaseka sented her mail...but late from my request yesterday though ! I understand your policy as to your exclusion of 12 months. No one can predict a accident to happen. You declined my claim as per Dr Smit's writing but no one even phoned the Vet ? Further you stipulate that 75 % of ligament problems is due to age BUT my Zoë had a accident and she is not old and in a immaculate fit condition. She gets only prescribed food and regular excercise...so according to mé she is part of the 25% who does not qualify according to your referral. Surely, One Plan could have handled this matter beter and surely exceptions can be made. How can you discriminate against my fur-baby's good health if you have not spoken to the Vet nor to me about her condition and you just assume she falls under your 75% ?? Before you disqualify a patient...do your home work first !! Your employee Salachini Govender asked me why is there no exrays with the claim ? Xtrays would be unnessasary as the Vet immediately diagnosed the cruciate ligament off...to take xrays would mean anesthetics meaning I must put her through 2 anesthetics in 7 days ? That is not healthy to get so many anesthetics !! Sooo One Plan, I will fight this matter even if we have to go to court. My chat conversations dissapear but I have taken screen shots of all of it. This claim was treated very unproffesional and not to speak of the bad communication manners with Mapaseka. Totally unexceptable One Plan !!!

Hi Zonia,

We do sincerely apologise for the delay in receiving your requested documents and we do completely understand your concerns. The claim has however been declined as a general exclusion on our policies. As you have stated that you would like to escalate the matter, you may refer to your email as Kirsty has sent you an email with the procedure you may follow.
