One Plan Pet Insurance Accident

Hi One Plan Pet insurance i do not recommend it. I signed up for Pet Insurance on the 30th of January 2018. Thinking that One Plan will have my Dogs interests at heart and help me out when my dog gets hurt and needs medical attention. My dog started having Epileptic Seizures on Saturday the 17th of February 2018.( This the first time my Dog has had Epileptic Seizures. Yes she had more than one.) So she did not have Epilepsy when i signed Her up for One Plan Pet Insurance. I had to take my dog into a Veterinary Hospital as it was 22h00 so my usual vet was closed. I phoned one plan on Monday the 19th of February to see if they would help out with some of the bills. One plan told me that they do not cover anything unless it is a accident for the first three months. So im guessing my dog having a Epileptic Seizure at 22h00 is not a accident. So maybe if she Hurt herself while having a Seizure one plan might have helped, they probably would have another Loop hole for that one. Where they can escape from paying. I then asked if they will still cover the dog even though she will have Epilepsy. NO, Because it happened in the first three months of the Plan. And they do not cover anything that can be related to Epilepsy. So i canceled my plan with one plan and even if i did not, and my dog did get hurt or sick One plan would have probably found another Loop Hole to not cover my Dog because she has Epilepsy. I do not recommend this One Plan Pet insurance at all they have Loop Holes in the fine print and they do not care about your Dog or pet. I would recommend Maybe looking at other Pet Insurance Companies. Don't even consider One Plan

Hi Byron,

We're sad to hear of Bella's condition. As much as we care about our fur-clients, we have to abide by our policy wording and terms and conditions.

As per the policy wording, a pre-existing condition is defined as a medical condition, or condition that presented Clinical Signs, that were in existence prior to this policy’s Inception Date, or in existence during the first three months during the waiting period or that was newly diagnosed within the first three months from the Inception Date of the policy, whether it was known or unknown to you.

Regards,

The Oneplan Team
