One Plan annual increase!

After being with One plan for over 10 years, I have to admit they are very consistent. Especially with their annual increases, the latest one this year being almost 10%! Considering that we're already dealing with loadshedding, interest hikes, company closures & massive job losses you would think they would show some restraint but no ... they hit us with another annual hike of 10%! Shocking, shocking service from a health services provider that only cares for the money!

Good day Mike,

Thank you for taking the time to bring this to our attention.  We apologize for any inconvenience which has been caused and for the circumstances under which your Hellopeter posting has reached us. We do take customer feedback seriously to improve our service and process to ensure that we meet our client’s expectations as we do value you as our client.
Out policy standard increase happens in March annually. The Oneplan brand inspires confidence in its ability to provide value for money. Regrettably we are from time to time pressed to increase our premiums to keep up with inflation and medical costs, which in turn enables us to be there for you when you need us the most. Please note that when an increase is declared, it includes several considerations. Whilst we understand that any increase is never well received, we firmly believe in being open and transparent with you, therefore we shared the basis for our adjustments to your premium in January 2023 in the hope that this provides an understanding of our decision for the increase as of 1st March 2023. Although there has been a slight increase in your premium kindly note that the benefits and cover limits have also increased.

The increase in your medical contribution remains on par with medical inflation, while giving you peace of mind for those expected, unexpected and everything-in-between trips to the GP, Casualty or Hospital. Considering the financial pressure our clients experience, we have always aimed to keep premium increases to an absolute minimum, while offering you a per event and annual limit increase across benefits, always ensuring you still get great value for money.

Certain terms and conditions are always applicable, and these are included in all policy documents before and during your experience with us. The terms and conditions of the policy must be adhered to and app**** fairly for all clients, and we will assist with all we can in line with our terms and conditions. Please note we are governed by the FAIS Act and must apply the TCF policy to ensure all our clients receive fair service and cover.
Once again, we apologize for any inconvenience caused, however please note this increase plays an important role to ensure that we continue to provide you with the quality you have come to expect.

We have acknowledged your complaint and we have escalated the matter to the relevant department. One of our consultants will be in contact with you to further discuss the matter at hand.
Kind Regards,
Oneplan
