NO Cover - Misleading information
One Plan Health Insurance mislead new clients with the information when registering with them. I had a situation where I required admittance to hospital and authorisation was refused by One Plan, more than a year after I took out this insurance. Two days later I contacted them, requested that I speak to someone on a supervisory or management level. Instead I got a two liner e-mail from them with documents attached. One Plan is not interested in talking to their clients when their is a problem. The information they give over the phone when accepting their policy is misleading and it seems they are all out for the money they get every month. Before anyone spend their hard earned money on this type of health insurance who has every excuse in the book to not honor claims, rather spend your money on a reputable medical aid and pay the R400-R500 more. I was told by a few health practitioners that a lot of problems are experienced with One Plan when it it comes to authorisation for medical emergencies. Do not think you are financially covered for any medical emergency with One Plan.... it turns out they actually cover VERY LITTLE under medical or illness emergencies. I hope someone from One Plan can now spare 10 minutes and pick a phone to call me, otherwise my next step will be the Ombudsman for misrepresentation of information.
