Make exclusions once contract is signed

i joined Oneplan and all was good selling me the plan. I answered the questions truthfully about previous small operations (removal of a couple of lumps for testing 5 years ago, broken ankle 15 years ago, my daughter breaking her arm 7 years ago) they said all is good but I’ll be excluded for 12 months on those operations. i said fine, stupid as it was years ago, but ok.... signed the docs and sent back... all was good. a couple of days later i get a call that all the above will be excluded for life....... really now.... I’ve accepted the quote and given my bank details and then they come with this *******. i called and they said i had to send an email to cancellations. I did this stating that they must cancel immediately and not deduct any monies because they changed the “plan” once I agreed. And stated that if they deducted the monies I will take this matter further. They rep**** saying they’ll get back to me. No, they didn’t and decided to deduct the monies anyway. Now I must pay the bank to reverse the debt order. What a pathetic bunch of ingrates.

Hi Andrew,
Thank you for taking our call and allowing us the opportunity to clarify what had transpired.
As per our telephonic discussion, yes the injuries and operations might have happened a couple of years ago however they still form part of your health risk profile.
It is at our underwriters discretion that the exclusions are placed on your policy based on your medical history and unfortunately cannot be changed.
We are sorry that we couldn't assist further in this regard.
Kind Regards
Oneplan
