Lots of stress with oneplan pet, too much pice increases also too much struggles in stressful time.

So dissapointed! My cat baby was sick yesterday; worst of all im sick as well....needles to say that u need to keep up with ur own health and still recovering from stress of my sick fur baby too, to find that there was once again some rejected amount on the pet insurance. Im so tired of this!!! Feel like moving over to outsurance pet or dotsure!!!!!!!! Also oneplan pet had a price increase on the first of July 2021!!! And now again theres a price increase in march 2022(8 months apart) people still recovering from covid and all this price increases. Yet i just accepted (which was actually working on my nervers) cos i have never been with any company/insurance that had 2 price increases in a period of 8 months.( WHEN SIGNING UP THEY THERE WILL BE A PRICE INCREASE ONCE A YEAR NOT EVERY 8 MONTHS)Then they reject amounts too when u stressed out. !!!!!! Also my husband struggled to get hold of them a while back eventually they send us a missed call on a SUNDAY!!!!!!!!

Good day Pieter,

Thank you for taking the time to bring this to our attention. We do have your fur-babies best interest at heart.

We are sorry to hear of the circumstances under which your Hellopeter posting has reached us and we do apologize for any inconvenience caused. We do take customer feedback seriously to improve our service and process to ensure that we meet our client’s expectations. Our well wishes are with you and your fur-baby.

Kindly note that the increase in the premium for 2021, was scheduled to take effect on 1 July 2021, due to the financial uncer*****y created by the COVID pandemic there was no increase effected in March, which usually is the case for annual increases.

The Oneplan brand inspires confidence in its ability to provide value for money. Regrettably we are from time to time pressed to increase our premiums to keep up with inflation and medical costs, which in turn enables us to be there for you and your pet when you need us the most. Please note that when an increase is declared, it includes several considerations. Whilst we understand that any increase is never well received, we firmly believe in being open and transparent with you and wanted to share the basis for our adjustments to your premium as of 1st March 2022 in the hope that this provides an understanding of our decision.

Kindly note that there are certain factors that are taken into consideration such as the age and breed of your fur-baby. Pet breeds and species have differing lifespans and claiming patterns; this translates into increasing claims during certain periods of a pet's life. Therefore, the increase is based on individual risk profile for each pet on the policy.

The policy standard increase happens in March annually, depending on the inception date of the policy we do a review on the premium increase in July to ensure that the there is a balance. We also annually review our insurance arrangements to ensure that our clients are sufficiently covered and that our products remain relevant, current and fair in line with our TCF commitment to all our clients. The increase also plays an important role to ensure that we continue to provide quality insurance to our fur-babies.

It has been a pleasure providing your fur-baby with much needed health cover for the unexpected, expected and everything in between and we hope that you will allow us to continue to cover your pet’s health for the years to come.

We have acknowledged your complaint and we have escalated the matter to the relevant department. One of our consultants will be in contact with you to further discuss the matter at hand.

Kind Regards,
Oneplan
