I would like to write a review about Oneplan Insurance Yes; My last visit to the doctor was June 26th, 2023. Since then I never used the Oneplan service, not even the over the counter medications. Today, the 25th of April 2024,I visited the Doctor for consultation and prescribed medication.I received R190 for medication, which was short by R21. I paid this R21 from my pocket in order to receive my prescription. It this practice OK for the client who have their premium Incriesed but service declining??

Dear Masape,

Thank you for taking our call earlier and allowing us the opportunity to discuss the matter at hand further.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused and the circumstances under which your posting has reached. We do take customer feedback seriously to improve our service and process to ensure that we meet our client’s expectations.

As per our telephonic conversation, kindly note that the Scripted Medication benefit offers a cover limit of R190 per a Scripted Medication claim on the Blue Plan that you are covered on. Should the claim amount exceed the cover limit, unfortunately, the remaining amount will be for the client’s account.

Kindly note that we inform all our clients that our product is not a Medical Aid product but a Health Insurance product. Our products are marketed and disclosed that we cover up to certain cover limits as the cover is not unlimited and there is an annual cover limit on all benefits offered which will renew on the anniversary of the policy

We encourage all our clients and potential clients to ensure that they understand all products available in the market and perhaps approach their Financial Advisor for a factual comparison of products as hearsay may cause a consumer to make a decision based on inaccurate information.

Certain terms and conditions are always applicable, and these are included in all policy documents before and during your experience with us. The terms and conditions of the policy must be adhered to and app**** fairly for all clients, and we will assist with all we can in line with our terms and conditions. Please note we are governed by the FAIS Act and must apply the TCF policy to ensure all our clients receive fair service and cover.

Once again, we apologize for any inconvenience caused and we hope the above brings clarity on the matter.

Kind Regards,
Oneplan
