I wasn't sure how to rate this as 3 stars or 2 stars

The service has been very helpful in the past, however once I sent an invoice through, they doubted whether I'd seen the dentist I went to. This is also the very first time I have ever submitted a claim in nearly 9 years

The dentist has never dealt with the issue before. I had initially sent invoices through, which she had stamped and signed. The fact that you are questing Dr Rampersad who has dealt with you before is the reason for the 2 star rating. This fiasco is going to cause her a lot of unnecessary work which hopefully will satisfy you

Yes, I did go and see her and paid upfront like I normally do, she said I could later claim through OnePlan once she found out I was a member. Your representative also pointed this pertinent fact out to me when I had to become the sole member after my husband's passing last year.

I have now had to take my invoices and now they have to match it up with the payments made. Since my maximum claim on the plan for each visit is for R685.00 which is far less that the amount I paid each time I went to her for dental work.

I really cannot see what you are being so persnickety about. You'll probably be wanting my bank statements next, which I will have ready for you should the need arise.

Dear Alison,

Thank you for taking the time to bring this matter to our attention.

We regret the circumstances under which your correspondence has reached us and apologise for any inconvenience caused. Please note, however, that we take all customer feedback seriously, as it allows us to strengthen our service delivery and uphold the standards expected by all our clients.

We would like to address your complaint directly and provide clarity regarding the requirements for claim refunds. As clearly outlined in your policy schedule, “If you require a refund, you must provide us with valid proof of payment, and we will refund the cover type within seven (7) days from the date of receipt of the valid proof of payment.” Despite our requests, we have not received any proof of payment from you, only detailed invoices. Without the required proof of payment, we are unable to legally or procedurally finalise your claims.

In an effort to assist you beyond what is ordinarily expected, our Claims team proactively contacted the service provider to obtain the proof of payment on your behalf. Unfortunately, they have not responded to our requests, and this has already been communicated to you via email.

Once the required documentation is received, we will review and process the matter accordingly. It is important to emphasise that all claims are assessed strictly in accordance with the policy’s stated terms and conditions, which are made available to you at inception and remain accessible throughout your engagement with us. Oneplan adheres firmly to Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles and applies the same fair and consistent standards to all clients.

We remain committed to resolving this matter as soon as the necessary information is provided.

Kind regards,
Oneplan.
