Frustrating claim process

I am struggling to have Oneplan to process my pathology claim. They say they need proof of purchase, and I cannot have one since the pathology that was helping me cannot produce one for me. Oneplan says so long as that POP is not produced they will not process my claim. I am stuck here, unable to go seek medical help as the company says they will process any claim until the pathology claim is successful. So I must continue to pay my premiums but I cannot use that same money to pay for my medical costs. So my health can be in jeopardy because of one outstanding claim. Another issue is that their claim department is difficult to access, and customer care cannot help me either, I must add that I am not blaming their customer care but my issue is with the claim department

Good day Thulo,

Thank you for taking the time to bring this to our attention.

We are sorry to hear of the circumstances under which your Hellopeter posting has reached us and we do apologize for any inconvenience caused. We do take customer feedback seriously to improve our service and process to ensure that we meet our client’s expectations.

We have attempted to contact you on the listed number; however, it was to no avail.

Kindly note that for a Pathology claim to be processed, we will require an invoice from the Lab.

If the blood tests were done at the Doctor's rooms, the claim will be covered under the GP benefit unless we receive the invoice from the Lab in order for us to review the claim under the Pathology benefit.

Once the funds have been utilized for any day-to-day benefit, we will require the detailed invoice for the claim to be finalized. As per our policy terms and conditions, it is the responsibility of the client to ensure that the claim invoices have been submitted to us. Should you wish to load funds for another day-to-day claim, we would require the previous claims to be concluded before loading any further claims. The reason for this is for auditing purposes on our side and to prevent ***** as funds are loaded within 60 seconds onto your Onecard.

Kindly note that the claiming process for day-to-day claims differentiates from the claiming process for in-hospital claims.

Certain terms and conditions are always applicable, and these are included in all policy documents before and during your experience with us. The terms and conditions of the policy must be adhered to and app**** fairly for all clients. Oneplan subscribes to its TCF principles and will take all reasonable steps to ensure fair and equal treatment of all our clients. We do have your best interests at heart, and we will assist with all we can in line with our terms and conditions.

Please provide us with a suitable time or an alternate contact number to contact you as we would like to provide you with more clarity on the above matter

Once again we apologize for any inconvenience caused and we look forward to hearing from you soon.

Kind Regards,
Oneplan

Reviewer Update
I am happy to say that Oneplan has responded to my review and approved my pathology claim. Their response was swift and met my expectations this time. I still view them as the best alternative to the medical aid I had, and I cancelled my medical aid in favour of their offerings. This shows how much and how high I think of their products. World class medical insurance company.
