**********ly deducting premiums for 4 years!

In 2011 we had a friend visit from Russia. She was here to renew her work visa over there, and as a requirement she needed to have health insurance for one month after travelling back to Russia. One Plan told her it had to be paid by a debit order even if it was just for ONE month. We agreed to help her out. Four years down the line, we have discovered that what we thought was a policy for dents and scratches on our cars, that we kept meaning to try and track down and cancel, was in fact, ONE PLAN, helping themselves to R265 a month for this third party!!! The call centre agents are utterly rude and disdainful, refusing to let us speak to anyone in management or supervisory level. This ***** amounts to about R13 000!!!! As you can see from all the complaints on here, we are not the only ones who are having money *******ly deducted from our bank account. Going to the Ombudsman and as far as we need to with this. Hello nickyt58,

Thank you for bringing the above to our attention.

Please note that our health insurance policies cannot be used for any Visa purposes, and this has never been the case. Any new policies incepted, falls in line with our Terms and Conditions, one of which being that any cancellation requests must be done in writing.

As you have indicated, your bank account details were willingly given to a third party, therefore it is the responsibility as the account holder to confirm whether the policy was indeed cancelled or not.

Please also note that during the term of payment received, the principle insured would off enjoyed access to private health care.

You have also mentioned that permission has been given to your friend for Oneplan. The debit order description from us does state ONEPLAN, therefore from at least the second month after you gave permission to your friend, you would have realised and followed up with regarding the debit order deductions immediately.

Should you have any further queries, kindly follow the compliance process that has been emailed to you.

Kind Regards,
Customer Care Department
