False Pretences

I joined yesterday. Nowhere was it mentioned I could not choose the Tech-Savvy option on the Accident Plan. I was given the choice and chose the Tech-Savvy plan. A DebiCheck was approved on my side. Today, they phone me to say that Tech-Savvy does not apply to Accident Plans. This was never communicated. You are going against the Consumer Protection Act.

I was assisted by Duncan.

Dear Cara,

Thank you for taking the time to bring this to our attention.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience that has been caused and for the circumstances under which your posting has reached us as we do take customer feedback seriously to improve our service and process to ensure that we meet our client’s expectations.

Kindly note that our QA department assesses all sales calls to ensure that the correct information is provided to the client and that the policy terms and conditions are adhered to. This process also ensures that the client agrees to the policy and is not misled, and should the client be misled in any way the policy will be sent to the relevant department to ensure that the correct information is provided to the client.

As you have mentioned you signed up with us and our ur QA department proceeded to assess the sales call. It was discovered that incorrect information was provided regarding the Accident plan having a Tech-Savy option which resulted in our Correction department calling you to provide you with the correct information as the Accident plan is our entry-level plan, which only covers in-hospital corrective procedures that are due to an Accident only, therefore, the Onecard option is not available on the Accident Plan.

The Primary, Classic, and Super Plans offer day-to-day benefits as well as in-hospital benefits up to respective cover limits depending on the benefit that you are claiming. These plans offer the Tech-Savy option as day-to-day funds can be loaded onto the Onecard, whereas the Hospital plan covers an in-hospital corrective procedure, however, clients can choose to add the Pet Med Booster as an extender to the Primary and Hospital plan that can be loaded onto the Onecar which will provide an annual cover limit towards preventative day-to-day claims for your fur-baby.

We have acknowledged your complaint, and we have escalated the matter to the relevant department. One of our consultants will be in contact with you to further discuss the matter at hand.

Once again, we apologize for the inconvenience caused and we hope to resolve the matter as soon as possible.

Kind Regards,
Oneplan
