Don't bother
Terrible experience, terrible service. Got pet insurance from them, with the assurance that they cover chronic medication. Turns out they cover chronic up to R750.......not sure what they think chronic means. When asking questions they keep repeating the same answer over and over, whether it is relevant to the question or not. The only helpful person in the entire process was Eugene, who actually listened and tried to help.

03 Feb 2022, 16:47Good day Sonja,
Thank you for taking our call earlier and allowing us the opportunity to further discuss the matter at hand.
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused and the circumstances under which your Hellopeter posting has reached. We do take customer feedback seriously to improve our service and process to ensure that we meet our client’s expectations.
As per our conversation kindly note that there are annual cover limits on all our cover types. The chronic medication for your fur-baby is covered under the Pet Med Savings benefit up to the annual cover limit of R750. The Casualty benefit has a cover limit of R1300 and is limited to 4 Casualty benefits per a year. Prescribed medication will fall under the Casualty benefit cover limit. Should the bill exceed the cover limit, unfortunately the client will be liable for the difference as claims are paid up to the respective cover limits.
Once the annual cover limit has been exceeded, the cover limit benefit will renew on the anniversary of your policy. Certain terms and conditions are always applicable, and these are included in all policy documents before and during your experience with us. Please note that this is by no means a ploy to refuse payment of the claim. We do have your fur-babies best interests at heart, and we will assist with all we can in line with our terms and conditions.
We have acknowledged your complaint and we have escalated the matter to the relevant department. Once again, we apologize for any inconvenience caused.
Kind Regards,
Oneplan
