Very generic response, my dog died did a claim for cremation asked them to cancel my policy after the claim look at the response from Oneplan """""""" We regret to inform you that your Onepet policy nr. ***, has been cancelled. In terms of our policy wording, there is a 30 day (one calendar month) notice period. Your policy will be cancelled as of the 2023/06/30 and your last premium will be deducted on the 2023/05/20.

How is this for a professional company say I must give 30 day notice but my dog died also commenting your policy will be ending 30/6/2023 but last payment will be 20/5/2023

Good day Jannie,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

Our condolences to you and your family on the passing away of your fur-baby. Please accept our deepest sympathies for all that you have experienced.

Records on our system reflect that we received the last claim for your fur-baby on 19/06/2023 and your policy is set to cancel for 01/07/2023.

Usually, there would be a one calendar month notice period for cancelation requests, however, in the sad event of the death of your fur-baby, we will waive the notice period and a refund is processed on the premium collected. The standard turnaround time for bank refunds to reflect in your bank account is between 7 - 14 workings or sooner depending on the banks.

The SMS notification that you received is a standard SMS sent to clients who cancel informing them of the notice period. Your policy cancelation was back-dated to ensure that you do not serve the notice period for the policy cancelation.

We hope the above brings clarity on the matter.

Kind Regards,
Oneplan

Best regards,

JG
