Disgusted with One Plan Pet Insurance

The most unsympathetic company I have every had to do with. My 1yr 3mth old Rottweiler broke his right hip in a motor accident & they were prepared to help with 75% of the cost as I have only been with them 7mths. In the lead up to the operation he unfortunately tore his left leg ligament cost involved R26000.00. We contacted Oneplan only to be told that ligaments are excluded for the first year. I explained to them my puppy has no use of either of his legs & that he has alot of pain. The ligament operation according to the specialist was more of an emergency than the hip operation & that it was an emergency to get operated immediately. I just want everyone to know that I am so disgusted with any One Plan Insurance that I will never recommend them to anyone. I will not leave this matter here They are just out to make money & are in no way sympathetic to any animals well being.

Good day Karen,

We're sorry to hear about the accident that your fur-baby was involved in and for what has transpired.

Kindly allow us some time to look into the matter and we will revert back to you.

Kind regards

I am not satisfied with the email that I just received from One Plan. They will pay the hip operation (which as the specialist stated is not the emergency at the moment but the ligament). My fur baby is all we have to keep us company. He sleeps on our bed & is treated as a one of our children. When One Plan says no sorry we cant pay, it is as good as telling me, no sorry we cant help your human child either. I will state again...it is just a money making business & no empathy what so ever.

We're sad to hear that you feel this way.

Unfortunately, should you be unsatisfied with the outcome. You would be required to lay a formal complaint in which our compliance department would be in touch to assist further.

The complaints resolution policy is attached to the email sent in regards to the claim.

Kind regards
