Dear Burnediene,

Thank you for taking the time to bring this to our attention.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused and the circumstances under which your Hellopeter posting has reached. We do take customer feedback seriously to improve our service and process to ensure that we meet our client’s expectations.

We have attempted to contact you on the listed number; however, it rings to no avail.

Kindly note that clients have a 7-day cooling-off period from the date of application which is stated in the policy terms and conditions. If a client discovers that they are unhappy with the product provided by the Insurer within this period, they have the option to cancel the policy within the 7-day cooling off period with no financial implications and if a premium was collected it will be refunded to the nominated bank account. If the cancellation request was sent after the 7-day cooling off period, there is a one (1) calendar month notice period that is required.

Upon investigation, we discovered that the application for the cover was done on the 21st of August 2024, and a copy of the policy schedule was sent to your listed email address.  We received your request for cancellation on the 30th of August 2024. Our Cancelations Team attempted to contact you to finalize the cancelation, however all attempts were unsuccessful. Please note that the cancelation request was made after the 7-day cooling-off period, which means that a notice period is required for the cancellation of the policy.

Certain terms and conditions are always applicable, and these are included in all policy documents before and during your experience with us. The terms and conditions of the policy must be adhered to and app**** fairly to all clients. Please note we are governed by the FAIS Act and must apply the TCF policy to ensure all our clients receive fair service and cover.

Once again, we apologize for any inconvenience caused and hope the above brings clarity to the matter.

Kind Regards,
Oneplan
