Daylight *******. Do not go with this medical aid
Took my cat for an urgent dental scaling due to his ******vitis and his annual vaccinations. Bill came to R3600. Insurance only paid R750. Cat was admitted into the hospital. This is daylight *******. I advise not to go with this medical aid. Firstly took a week before I could get solid feedback on my claim. They have lots of fine print and clauses to make claims difficult

Kindly note that the Pet Med Savings benefit covers preventative care claims for your fur-baby such as vaccinations, and dental scaling and polishing. This will be covered up to the annual cover limit of R750 on the Classic plan. Should clients request more cover, they can choose to add on the Pet Med Booster which offers an additional R750 towards preventative care claims.
Dental extractions for your fur-baby are covered under the Casualty benefit up to the cover limit of R1300 per Casualty benefit claim and your fur-baby has 4 Casualty Benefit claims per year. These are a few of the many benefits and cover limits that our Pet Plans have to offer as the Pet Med Savings and Casualty benefit is a day-to-day benefit and the Classic Plan has day-to-day and In-hospital benefits.
As per our policy terms and conditions, Dentistry or treatment related to teeth/procedures is not covered under the in-hospital benefit and is excluded from the policy. Regrettably, dental polishing and scaling is one of our In-hospital general exclusions and will only be covered under the day-to-day benefit for preventative care claims
Certain terms and conditions are always applicable, and these are included in all policy documents before and during your experience with us. The terms and conditions of the policy must be adhered to and app**** fairly to all clients. We do have your fur-babies best interests at heart, and we will assist with all we can in line with our terms and conditions. Please note we are governed by the FAIS Act and must apply the TCF policy to ensure all our clients receive fair service and cover.
We have acknowledged your complaint and we have escalated the matter to the relevant department. One of our consultants will be in contact with you regarding the matter at hand.
