Complaint Oneplan
I took out a policy to join with one plan on 01/11 but due some totally exclusions decided to rather cancel and continue to look for a hospital plan. I sent through a mail to the person who assisted me to open the policy to advise the person to cancel the policy... today my account was debited and when I phoned to request that the funds that was debited be returned I got advised that I couldn't get my money back as I now had to give a months notice... it's still 2 weeks before the 01/11 that my policy would have come into effect and they cannot give me my money back! I am the sole breadwinner in my family and I didn't bush yet the R1470 that was debited. So now the last bit of money I have left must either be to cover insurance for my car or buy food. I will have to use it for insurance because if something should happen while I don't have insurance then I will be in even more financial trouble than I am in currently. My policy has not come into effect and so why can I not get my money back? Where is the compassion or empathy...instead oneplan is a money grabbing company that just thinks about their bottom line and making a profit even if it means taking money from people that they did nothing for...big companies like one plan don't care about the wellbeing of little people like you and I...I'm in a desperate situation and need my money back but the person on the phone just kept saying you have to give a month notice and you didn't do that say we cant give you the money back...I was not informed that I had a cooling off period or that if I wanted to cancel that there is a cancellation email address so I sent my cancellation request to the person that assisted me to open the policy...again sometimes just a little sympathy and someone just going the extra mile to help a person that is in dire distress goes a long way...now no money no food...π°π°π°π°π°π°π°π°π°
