Absolute bogus insurance for Pets
Oneplan Pet insurance is the biggest hoax I have ever seen. Our premium is R597 a month!!!!! More than what you would pay for a human child on medical aid. My doggie is nearly 15 and I soooooooooo wish we could have moved him over to another pet insurance...but it is impossible because of his advanced age. Oneplan plays cat-and-mouse games with their loyal clients. We have been on Onplan Pet insurance since my doggie was 8 years old. With every single vet visit or hospital stay of our pooch...their is months-on-end battles and struggles afterwards with payments etc. Sick and tired...SICK AND TIRED OF THIS!!!!!!!! WISHED WE HAVE NEVER JOINED ONEPLAN. PLEASE PEOPLE...RATHER CHOOSE PET INSURANCE FROM MORE REPUTABLE COMPANIES. ONEPLAN DOES NOT GIVE A DAMN ABOUT HOW MANY TIMES YOU HAVE TO PHONE, DRIVE AROUND, FAX, SCAN, BEG, CRY ETC...THEY JUST DONT CARE AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOOKING FOR THEIR OMBUDSMANS NUMBER...IF ANYBODY MAYBE KNOWS?! PLEASE! AND DON'T EVER JOIN Onepet pet insurance...it will lead to suicide!!!!!!!!!
Thank you for taking the time to bring this to our attention.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused and the circumstances under which your Hellopeter posting has reached. We do take customer feedback seriously to improve our service and process to ensure that we meet our client’s expectations as we do value you as our client.
The Classic plan that your fur-baby is covered on has day-to-day and In-hospital benefits. The plan includes a Pet Med Savings benefit that may be used towards preventative care claims and has a cover limit of R750. Should clients request for more cover, they can choose to add on the Pet Med Booster. The Casualty benefit has a cover limit of R1300 and is limited to 4 Casualty benefits per a year. A vet consultation will fall under the Casualty benefit claim, and should the vet bill exceed R1300, unfortunately the client will be liable for the difference as claims are paid up to the respective cover limits. The Pet Med Savings and Casualty Benefit falls under our day-to day benefits and differentiates from the In-Hospital cover limits. There are annual cover limits on all our cover types. Once the annual cover limit has been exceeded, the cover limit benefit will renew on the anniversary of your policy.
Certain terms and conditions are always applicable, and these are included in all policy documents before and during your experience with us. The terms and conditions of the policy must be adhered to and app**** fairly for all clients, please note that this is by no means a ploy to refuse payment of the claim. We do have your fur-babies best interests at heart, and we will assist with all we can in line with our terms and conditions. Please note we are governed by the FAIS Act and must apply the TCF policy to ensure all our clients receive fair service and cover.
We have acknowledged your complaint and we have escalated the matter to the relevant department. One of our consultants will be in contact with you to further discuss the matter at hand and we hope to restore the experience.
Kind Regards,
Oneplan
