SALES UNDER FALSE PRETENCE - BUYERS BEWARE

My husband bought an Infrared Thermal Thermometer for a princely sum of R1499 + S&H. It came without a battery, but it was specified that we use 2XAAA batteries for a 3V DC operation. However, the thermometer was provided with a connection as used in 9V flat battery - no flat surfaces. We are unable to fit 2 AAA batteries in the machine. Despite repeated email request for clarification and phoning the tel nos. as listed on their website - which do not connect - we have had no joy. The emails were simply deleted. Also, the overall construction is so flimsy that were it to be manhandled, it will break. Cheap import from China!!!
