Not able to return product

I purchased an item which did not match the description, then I logged a return. My return was rejected because they claim the product was damaged. The product is an office chair, there are holes in the chair where the *****s go in. These holes are now seen as damage, yet if they just opened a brand new chair they'll see the holes are there for a reason. But their customer service will not even discuss this.
