driver sends please call me for customer to phone

This morning I get a notification that my delivery is en route and due for delivery today any time from 8am to 5 pm, which is fine I suppose. What really bothered me was that I received a strange please call me from an unknown number. Normally I do not respond to please call me's as they more intrusive and not really that urgent, if they were the person would have called. I decided to call the number as I knew I had a package on the way and was more intrigued as to whether this was actually the delivery company, or just another wrong number.<br> <br> As I phoned the person asked if they were speaking to the right person and then addressed me with their name and said that they are from OneDayOnly and here with a delivery. Why would you guys ever think that sending a customer a please call me to phone the driver back is even an acceptable form of customer service? I have purchased quite a few items from you guys and this is just unacceptable. what if I ignored the please call me? I doubt I would have ever seen the package again.
