The Long Awaited OSTI's Decision

Good Day

I received a correspondence (on 14 August 2019) from Valerie Mgadi indicating that the Ombudsman is now in a position to make a recommendation on case M611/19.

I really understand that the Office of the Ombudsman is faced with a substantial volume of cases to deal with, I'd however appreciate it if I could be kept up to speed regarding the developments of my case.

Dear Abram Ma****isho 

Our records indicate Ms. Mngadi is awaiting a response from the insurer and since escalated the matter within the relevant department on 25 September 2019. 

Please allow another week for further advises in this matter.

We still await a response from the insurer and have written to them to follow-up. 

Ms. Mngadi will furnish her further advises as soon as she is in receipt of the response.

Once again, I appreciate your speedy response, the commitment and determination displayed by your Office to get this matter expedited and fairly finalized.

I actually received Valerie's phone call yesterday and a very logical explanation of the entire situation was well articulated.

I will look forward to hear from your Office with the hope that the insurer furnishes a positive response at the most urgent and convinient time.

I also trust and believe that the principle of fairness will win.

I really applaud you for the commitment and determination you have displayed from the first moment the case was assigned to you.

This has also served as a learning opportunity for me that I will take with me going forth. Most importantly, I have learnt that patience pays off. Your service and effort cannot go unappreciated.

You represented the office of ombudsman above and beyond measure.
