Release of my property from insurance company

They are inaccessible, arrogant and don’t live up what they are supposed to do. I had a query handled finally by them and they ruled against me, but my vehicle is still with the insurance company. I wrote a letter to them about my property which has been with insurance company since last year after the accident and they said that they will ask the insurance company ( Affinity Insurance Company) to release my vehicle and that has not happened since the beginning of this year. The insurance company referred me to Ombudsman when I inquired about my car, and lately I just can’t get through to them when I phone. What recourse do I have in order to get what belongs to me?
