Ombudsman just as ******* as the companies they supposed to make sure they upheld good practise.
I laid a complain with the short term ombudsman due to Truworths i have loss of income insurrnce but Truworths have decided that its easier to just blacklist me and place me on the credit burau and also handed me over to MBD attorneys. All this for R540 around there. I received my complain back from them where they say i need to send it to the long term ombudsman of which i did. There its being send to some other ombudsman. This is a ******* business and where the ombudsman was impartial at a stage now they working with the companies. I will gladly pay the acc if any ombudsman can show me that im in the wrong. No one comes back to me about anything and in the meen time my acc is going further in arrears. If there is anyone out there that can assist me to further this i have done everything possible.
Please note that the current Ombudsman's Schemes landscape in South Africa comprises separate Ombudsman's Offices each having specified jurisdictional limits on the nature of your complaint. Stating that the "Ombudsman" is "*******" because your complaint has not been referred to the correct office is not a fair statement.
You have written this post under the Ombudsman for Short-term Insurance's platform, which does not have any jurisdiction to investigate a complaint against Truworths, as it is not an insurer. It does not appear that that Office of the Long-term Insurance Ombudsman would have jurisdiction either.
Based on the limited information provided, I would suggest that the Ombudsman for Consumer Goods and Services may be the right office to approach on your dispute. However, in order to be sure, the relevant financial service provider, Truworths, is obliged to inform you which Ombudsman's office will have the relevant Jurisdiction.
