Ombuds generally work for business
The short term ombudsperson in my view must improve their turn around time and allow for ' balanced battlefield'. I had a dispute and all the arguments by the short term insurer was done by their attorneys. I am a layman and put forward a factual account of my case. It was an accident and that's why we call it accident. The ombudsperson never saw it in that way but ruled in favour of the company strictly from a legal perspective. Fairness and equity was not on play. Where did i stand a chance with capital alists and no proper representations.

The insurer rejected the claim on the basis that you failed to disclose all of your previous losses during the underwriting of the risk. This information was material to the acceptance of the risk. As such, the policy was voided and your claim against the insurer was rejected.
