No progress

I lodged a complaint against My Insurer in April of 2014. To date I'm still waiting for them to do the right thing. They have already made an offer which I am not happy about and gave reasons and sent proof as to why I am not happy. I'm not getting any clear answers as to what is happening.
\Dear Madam
I will correspond with you during the course of this week.
Kind regards"is all I receive when I ask of progress on the matter. I received the message just now.
Plese tell me what should one do? It is already August 2015."""

Hello Phumzi25,

We note that your complaint was received in April 2014 and finalized in December 2014. You were advised that, as the claim had been settled by the insurer in full and final settlement thereof and on the basis of you signing a disclaimer, the insurer was not obliged to make any further payments and that the insurer's further settlement offer was therefore reasonable under the circumstances.

We note further that there were parts of your complaint which amounted to a dispute of fact and other parts which fell outside of this Office's jurisdiction and you were advised that as this Office could not take the matter any further, it would be necessary for you to proceed with legal action against the insurer should you still not be prepared to accept the insurer's further settlement offer.

The Assistant who investigated your complaint has also now provided you with a response as to why are unable to assist you any further with your complaint and that our file remains closed. You are at liberty to appoint an attorney with a view of taking the matter further, however, please be mindful of any time-barring and prescription clauses that may apply in terms of the policy wording.
