I want my money back

I joined westside financial services in 2007 and have been paying my R150,00 premium religiously for 8 years. Now I discovered that the company was closed and no one bothered to contact me I discovered last year after someone I had on the funeral policy died last year in October 2015,imagine the shock I had because for 8 years I have been depositing money into the account number *** absa bank. I had to bury myl cousin with my own money because westside was nowhere to be found. What I would like to know is who this account belongs to and how come he has been receiving my money for all these years. My Id number is *** .I want my money back for all these 8 years. Contact me ASAP so that this matter can be resolved. I have receipts from the bank for the past 8 years, which is proof That I am in deed was a member of westside. I want my, money back which is way overdue. I lodged a complain with ombudsman in November last year and faxed proof of payment up to this day here has been no response, every time call the person who answers the call says they will call back but they never do.

Hello munza,

It appears that you may be confusing our office with another.

We do not have a Mr Kgomo in our office and we do not generally deal with issues in relation to which you seem to have had bad experiences i.e. funeral policies and Westside Financial Services.

As per my earlier telephonic discussion, in which it was indicated that the dealings had been with a Cape Town office, I pointed out that it would not be our office which had been dealt with.

I further confirm having pointed out that there is a possibility that another office in Pretoria (the FAIS Ombudsman) might be the office you need to contact in relation to this matter, as Westside Financial Services sounds like an FSP (Financial Service Provider) who would fall under their jurisdiction.

It therefore appears that our office has nothing to do with this matter.

We wish you all the best in your endeavours to have your matter resolved.

Yours faithfully
