Horrible service

M1810/16GP. Logged a case with OSTI and case was referred to MIOSA 336232. Now the MIOSA is referring me back to the OSTI. They waste your time and they tell you that you have to be patient while I am struggling . Both of these organizations are useless and must be shut down. Whats the use of logging these with them if they are going to ***** up themselves

AM ANGRY AND UPSET AND YALL ARE NOT COMING TO THE PARTY.

Dear Mr Moloto

I have had a look at your matter and our records reflect that we received your complaint dated 08 July 2016 on or about the 11 July 2016.

In our letter dated 13 July 2016 (within two days of processing same), we advised you that the matter falls outside our jurisdiction and that we could not asssist you. We proceeded to close our file.

Your complaint related to your request to upgrade a service plan to a maintenance plan. Our office deals with neither of the above.

You will notice from our name that our office deals with short term insurance matters.

As a service to you, we forwarded your complaint to the Ombudsman with the relevant jurisdiction, being the Motor Industry Ombudsman of South Africa (MIOSA). That office is a completely separate and independent office from ours, as the name would suggest.

We also conveyed their contact details to you in our abovementioned piece of correspondence.

It is therefore surprising that despite the above, you seem to expect our office to be involved any further in the matter.

We cannot do anything for you as we do not have the powers or the authority to deal with motor industry related disputes.

Yours faithfully

Dear Mr Moloto

I confirmed for you that we cannot assist you in the earlier post.

Whatever they advised you, I cannot comment on. I can only reiterate that the matter falls outside our jurisdiction (unless you have since discovered that it relates to short term insurance of course).

Furthermore, the fact that it falls outside their jurisdiction as well, does not mean that it should be brought back to us. Our jurisdiction is not dependent on theirs, nor is it based thereon, or in any way related to it.

I suggest that you seek legal advice if you do not know where else to go or what else to do.

Yours faithfully

Dear Mr Moloto

Then it must mean you have a new complaint and you must lodge a new formal complaint as per the process on http://www.osti.co.za/steps-to-lodge-complaint.html

Otherwise you may contact our call centre at ***.
