Frustrated since 2014
Back in 2014 I had my insurance cancelled nd the reason for cancellation did not make sense. I approached OSTI to assist and despite all evidence given to the, which did work in my favor, unfortunately the consultant ruled in the insurance's favor. This caused a lot of issues for me in terms of getting insurance. In 2019 I approached the same consultant and asked him to review my query, He called me and he ended up ruling in my favor but said he will not be able to reverse the ruling but can get the insurance to cover me again. I then tried to follow up, he only came back to me on 11 Feb 2019 with the response "I have an will be in a position to provide feedback this week". I have been waiting for feedback since. I followed up until I gave up. This is really a stumbling block for me as I struggle to get either reasonable insurance or even be accepted for insurance. Can anyone, anyone just hear me out and assist.
It is a pity you are only following up this late.
Whatever the history of the matter, by now your matter has prescribed. This means that you will probably not be able to pursue the matter any further, whether through our office or at court.
I tried to look into your matter and the only information I can find are your e-mails in 2019 (when it was already late) when you were asked to provide your telephone number and you never did. (We do not keep records dating that far back.)
As stated above, whatever the status of the matter or the outcome, it is extremely unlikely that there is anything that anyone can still do to assist you.
I will however refer the matter to the relevant person to make contact with you.
Yours faithfully

Thank you for responding to my concern. If you would like, maybe you can open a new case if needed as I have all documentation otherwise I can be assisted with this case. If this was a ****** case, would it have been left hanging because it is old or would it have been attended to? This is affecting my insurance profile so it does feel like ******.
I read your response on the 12th, waited to the contacted as mentioned above, but to date nothing has come through just like this happened before.
I also do not have a trace of the email that has my number but I would like to believe that the case number has all my details hence the agent was able to contact me. We discussed the matter and he advised that he will be getting someone from the insurance to call me back. He responded that he will sorting it out in February 2020, then after that it went quite. I can forward you the emails if you need.
So will anyone be assisting me further?
Thanks

No, we cannot open a new case.
In law, if one has a claim, such a claim must be pursued within 3 years. If one does not do so, it expires. This is called prescription. Your matter will most probably have prescribed if it dates that far back.
One of the reasons there is prescription is to ensure that matters are pursued while still fresh and evidence is fairly readily available.
When we discussed with the relevant person he could also not recall anything (one of the reasons why it is not a good idea to let matters lie for so long). We could only find the e-mail of 2019 which has no details about anything except for the reference details.
We agreed that we would try to obtain whatever information we could access after asking for assistance from our IT services.
You should have been contacted with an interim update by now.
I will take this up with the relevant people and trust that you will be contacted soonest. Please allow us until Thursday to revert.
I trust the above is in order.
