FEEDBACK REQUIRED

We have been in an armed ******* more than a year ago. The Ombudsman closed the case without making a ruling for according to IDERECT I've **** about certain items. I've consulted an attorney whom then requested the actual recordings from the Ombudsman. They received the recordings, accept for the one where they based there claim on that I was lying. The Ombudsman reopened the case and requested the recordings from ABSA IDIRECT. ABSA IDIRECT then informed my attorney via the Ombudsman that the recording are misplaced. This has been about three months ago and when the attorney requests an update from the Ombudsman they simply respond that they are waiting for ABSA IDIRECT to respond. I only want to know how long should the Ombudsman give ABSA to respond? Surely if they \misplaced"the recordings they are admitting that they don't have any evidence proofing their claim. How could you misplace something so important when you know there is a dispute with regards to the claim from day 1? 3 Months are surely more than enough time for them to respond or are they given unlimited time to ensure they are not being held responsible to pay out legitimate claims? I beg your assistance"""

Hello ZeldaBez,

We have looked into the matter and can confirm that according to our records, the matter was resolved in favour of the insurer. The only outstanding issue is the recordings which the insurer is in the process of forwarding to our office.

While we admit with the same frustration that it has taken this long to have the recordings delivered to our office, this is something beyond our control. We can after all only forward the recordings after receiving them.

Our latest information is that the insurer has had the recordings placed on disc and will be couriered to our office.

We will forward them upon receipt and trust that you find the above in order.

Yours faithfully
