Feedback on investigation
I have been experiencing difficulties with getting assistance from the Ombudsman. I had reported a matter to them regarding a complaint against one of the insurance companies whereby a claim I put in was not paid out. I reported the matter to the ombudsman in September and to date I have not been assisted. No communication/feedback since then. I was told an investigation would be undertaken and i would be provided with feedback on the matter. I have not received any sort of feedback to resolve my query. It is now November and the investigation is still underway but I am not receiving any resolution.

Our investigations do tend to take more than two months. Therefore, since we only received the complaint in September 2022, the time taken thus far would not be completely unreasonable, depending, of course, on the specific issues to be investigated and the current status.
Complaints are sent to insurers for responses, and it is only after receiving responses that we would be able take matters further.
As you have not provided our reference details, it was not possible to look into what is going on, in your matter.
We will use your details to track the complaint and let the relevant staff give you an update.
We trust that the above is in order.
Yours faithfully

08 Nov 2022, 12:08Dear Tshepiso M
I received an update yesterday that you were contacted after we could not trace your complaint, and that you were also sent an e-mail.
You will hopefully respond (if you have not done this), and we can take things from there.
Yours faithfully
