Useless useless useless, they are for big corporate. They defend insures, I don't have much words but this Ombudsman institution takes money from insures. They forever justifying. My car was covered with old mutual, today old mutual can't pay for my car and this ombudsman is nonsense. None existing

I had a look at the case which correlates with the ID number provided. However, I cannot match your email address and name with this case. Therefore, I will respond directly to the complainant offline, which is in line with POPIA compliance.
Regarding OSTI's funding, please note that although the insurer pays a fee for each complaint that is submitted to OSTI, we understand that insurers get their funding from consumers who pay their premiums. We therefore appreciate at all times that our services are funded both by the consumer and by the insurer. We take our role as an impartial and independent forum very seriously and deal with each complaint in this way.

19 Sept 2023, 14:05You did not even feel the need to find out my relation to this matter and where this email derived from. Well, i am the spouse to the related party of which this overrides your popia act. I paid for that old mutual insurance cover which does not want to cover the car damage costs and you let them get away with it, telling us we must go to fais ombudsman. we are not in contravention with the broker here, do not come confuse my wife. If only you knew who i work for, youor your employees would not be providing her with incorrect information. both the broker and one of old mutual insurer staff confirmed we were covered during that period, the car remains unfixed because they just don't want to pay.
