Bad respond from OSTI

I logged a complaint with this office 14 months ago to date my complaint hasn't been resolved, they requested the evidence regarding my claim. I send them everything that they requested but to my surprise the evidence that I send was not used and their ruling was was based on the pictures that the insurer said I never submit after taking the insurance with them. OSTI asked me for the pictures that insurance was disputing but on he email that I send them the pictures that I took when I was signing up with the insurer are there. After their ruling I have to resend the very same email I submitted to them October 2019 and explain to them about the attachment on the same email, they had to take the complain back to the insurer something that was suppose to be done on the first email. Clearly someone didn't do his job, how can you read the email and ignore the attachment. People are loosing their case because of the ignorance the staff from this office. My case was on review since September and I didn't know about this, I had to phone and ask about it and that's when I learned that my case is on review. I believe Mr John Theunissen was suppose to handle my case differently, I'm not happy at all. Case no S852/19

Dear Mr Sekgweleya

I have looked at the matter and note that according to our records, your file was closed in June 2020. You were on the same date sent correspondence to that effect, which also detailed reasons for the outcome. This was sent to your G- mail account we had on record at the time.

The essence of the finding was that you had not comp**** with the policy, in that you did not submit the photographs in the manner required in terms of the policy. Cover therefore never incepted.

It does however look like the matter is ongoing as there is subsequent correspondence with the insurer, dating as late as September 2020.

I have forwarded a query to the relevant staff to look into the matter and to attend to the necessary.

We apologize that the matter is not being handled to your satisfaction and hope that this will  henceforth not be the case.

Yours faithfully

Dear Mr Sekgweleya

I have received feedback that your complaint has been reconsidered in the light of your subsequent representations and that formal correspondence has been dispatched to you.

We trust that you will find the above, and the correspondence, in order.
