I took out a Lay by at OK Furniture Blue Downs for washing machine with a due date as 01 April 2025. I went to make the final payment on 07 Feb however, I was told the lay by has been cancelled without my knowledge. When I enquired why it was cancelled, I was advised since it was a Black Friday special, they could only hold it for 2 months. This was never explained at point of sale nor when the "2months" period expired. When I insisted on them honoring the written agreement, the salesperson said they cannot , and when they called the owner of the store they said it's cancelled and used offensive language . The owner went on to say since other Black Friday laybyes have been cancelled, process should apply for everyone
