STAY AWAY FROM OK FURNITURE
I bought a LG home theater system (LG ARX10) en of July 2017 at OK furniture in Virginia Free State, then this year on the 17th of April 2018 I started having problems with the amplifier , I would switch it on and start to watch TV then after about 5 minutes the amplifier would switch off with the word "s-protection" scrolled across the display, so the following day i phoned OK Furniture to ask them what must i do seeing as i had a 2 year warranty on the product, unfortunately because of work arrangements I was only able to take back the system to them on the 21st of April 2018. Upon arriving I took the unit inside the store and i went to the sales lady, she then told me the unit will be sent for repairs and i had to wait 3 weeks for it to be returned , I asked if they dint have a unit that i can use whilst my unit was being repaired she said unfortunately not but i can speak to the manager if i want(mind you she was very polite) so i went to the manager ( Jacques Du Toit) I asked if he could borrow me a unit until mine was repaired he said unfortunately they dont have any units to borrow me, i then got upset and said that i felt it is ridiculous having to wait 21 days for a repair because i was not made aware of this when i bought the unit, he then in a very insulting manner said that i was at fault because i did not read the sales agreement, i then proceeded to ask him if he reads every single peace of paper when he buys something to witch he said very arrogantly yes, i then called him a **** and said i wanted proof that my unit was delivered to them for repairs , i wanted documentation stating that my unit especially the amplifier was still in mint condition, the manager then said they had no such documentation and the best he could do was take photographic evidence of the condition of the unit he then proceeded to do so and told me he would contact me after a week to keep me posted on the process, i waited until the 15th of may 2018 (day 24 ) then i phoned him to ask him when my unit will be returned he then said he wanted to call me but he didn't have my number ( but when they have specials and promotions and want me to buy from them they phone me without hassle) he said that the unit still hasn't been returned and he is now going to push them to give me a new unit, i then waited another 3 days and when i tried to phone he didn't answer and no one inside the store could tell me where he was, so on Friday the 18th of may i went to the store around 4pm only to find him outside , when i pulled up he recognized me and quickly fled in the store i had to run after him, and yelled his name he then turned around in amazement and said he just wanted to phone me , he said my unit arrived the previous day but he could not phone me because he didn't have my number, i asked him why he didn't contact me then on the friday and he proclaimed he was busy with auditors the whole day, he then turned and asked the security lady what time did the auditors leave and she said around 1pm i was there at 4pm. When i checked my unit it turned out that the amplifier has been badly damaged , there where scratches everywhere plus there was a glue type substance all over the unit, i was not happy and said i dont want to fight anymore because it was apparent the more i am going to fight the more i am going to struggle, the manager then said he will email his big boss to ask what must be done because i am unhappy to receive a damaged unit , i left the store and the following day mr du toit phoned me to tell me he emailed his boss and also the repair company and is now just waiting for a response, and this is what has led me to this site to warn anybody do not buy from OK furniture they are unprofessional and do not value you as a client once the sale has been made and you experience any problems with products you bought from them you will wait months and months to no avail it seems at this point i will receive a damaged unit after buying a brand new one
Good luck to anyone wanting to do business with OK FURNITURE
