Paying more instead of less

<p>Hi My mom have an account with Ok furniture store in Parow where she took my cellphone. The account is only active for about 4 or 5 months. The balance on the account is R1277.19. I then informed the store manager that I would like to settle the account and was told that I need to pay R1365.63. Since when do you pay more instead of less to settle an account?? Its like im being penalised now for wanting to settle this account. Can I please get answers.</p>
