OK FURNITURES NIGHTMARE

On Black Friday, 23 November 2018, I took my wife shopping for a new TV. While we were in OK Furniture in Mossel Bay central, we decided to rather purchase a Queen size bed that was on special. The bed was a mattress and base set that was a higher and more comfortable height off the floor. This was best suited to our needs. We paid the required amount even though the bed and base set were currently out of stock. We were assured that the stock would be arriving in 2 weeks. This however did not happen. We did not receive a phone call to be informed that the stock had not arrived. When I called the furniture store I was informed that the bed would arrive on Monday, 3 December 2018. This date came and passed as well. No phone call received, I called the furniture company again and this time I was informed that the bed had not been collected from the warehouse in Oudtshoorn due to load shedding. I found this very hard to believe but still remained calm. On Wednesday, 5 December 2018, I called again only to be informed that the bed had still not been picked up due to the fact that the base and mattress set differed in color. This morning 6 December 2018, I decided to visit the store in person and demanded answers as I had been patient up until this point. I have been sleeping on the floor on a mattress with my wife as we had already sold our bed to make space following the promises made to us that our bed would be delivered by Monday 3 December 2018. I was informed that the stock would only be available end of February 2019. This is COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE. I would like to have the bed I paid for on 23 November 2018. If OK FURNITURE is unable to supply me with the product I have purchased then I would like to be furnished with a bed that is similar in height and quality or better as I now require a bed as a matter of urgency. I think that service I have received is disgusting to say the least. I eagerly await a response from OK FURNITURES SOUTH AFRICA.
